2013 Toast to the Children

17th Annual Toast to the Children

Every spring, friends of Children of Bellevue, Inc. come together to host our largest benefit of the year — Toast to the Children.

Toast to the Children is a quintessential annual New York City Food & Drink Event to support innovative, life‐changing pediatric programs at Bellevue Hospital Center.  Famed chef and Board member, Tom Colicchio of Craft Restaurants and Bravo’s Top Chef spearheads this wine and food sampling extravaganza at his fabulous Riverpark restaurant overlooking the East River. The proceeds benefit children’s programs at Bellevue Hospital Center.

This year’s “Toast” was held on April 23^rd, with about 500 guests in attendance.  More than $570,000 was raised to help care for some of New York Cities poorest children in the hospital.  

Toast to the Children 2013 Honorees:

Corporate Honoree – Joel Marcus, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. 

Culinary Honoree – Famed Chef, Jacques Pepin

Children’s Literacy Honoree, Jon Scieszka, Award-Winning Children’s Book Author.
