Therapeutic Nursery Program

Mental illness is not a disease of adults alone, even pre-school children can have mental health challenges. For more than forty years, Bellevue's Therapeutic Nursery Program has addressed the emotional problems of preschoolers such as unmanageable temper tantrums, not listening to directions and dangerous behaviors like setting fires. This program provides a safe and secure environment where parents have the opportunity to build pleasurable experiences with their children and where children have an opportunity to repair dysfunctional relationships, and to identify and express a full range of emotions and develop age-appropriate skills.
