At the end of the evening the houses were put together to create a scrumptious gingerbread village for all to see.

Halloween Pumpkin Decorating
DATE: Wednesday, October 25, 2006
TIME: 6:30PM
PLACE: Bellevue Hospital Center, 462 First Ave., 21st Floor West
Volunteers came to Bellevue Hospital to help our pediatric patients celebrate Halloween. Children, staff, and volunteers decorated pumpkins together and then celebratedthe holiday with the kids favorite snack, ice-cream sundaes! The children on our 21st floor inpatient pediatric psychiatry unit do not get to have the same holiday experience that most of us knew during childhood. Activities like this are a great way of helping them enjoy the holiday and forgetting the reality of living in a hospital, even if for a short time.
For more information on the pumpkin decorating evening and future activities please contact Stephen.Gnojewski@bellevue.nychhc.org, or call the Development Office at 212-562-4130.
