Playground Build
November 2005
On
November 17th,2005 Children of Bellevue and The Home Depot
joined forces to build KaBOOM!’s first ever Rooftop
Playground. With the children’s help we put together
a great playground design and then coordinated an exciting
Build Day where volunteers helped to make this space fun and
accessible to the children hospitalized for psychiatric services
at Bellevue Hospital.
KaBOOM!
is a national nonprofit organization that envisions a great
place to play within walking distance of every child in America.
Since 1995, KaBOOM! has used its innovative community-build
model to bring together business and community interests to
construct more than 850 new playgrounds and skateparks and
renoAir Hockey Tablevate 1,300 others nationwide.
