Toast to the Children 2002
This elegant wine and food sampling with live and silent auctions
was held Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at The Essex House and honored
Walt "Clyde" Frazier Former NY Knick and NBA Hall
of Famer member for his dedication to inner-city youth.
Tom Colicchio, Board member and Executive Chef
of Gramercy Tavern and Craft, gathered these celebrated restaurants
to serve samples from their menus: AZ, Aquavit, Bid, Blue
Smoke, Blue Fin, Chicama, Craft, Daniel Boulud's - Café
Boulud, DB Bistro and Daniel, Eleven Madison Park, Fiamma,
Gramercy Tavern, The Harrison, Judson Grill, Mesa Grill, Nobu,
and Tabla.
Our
most diverse selection of wines ever were poured by Anthony
Road Wine Company, August Briggs Wines, Clinton Vineyards,
Galluccio Estate Vineyards, GustavoThrace Wines, Jaffurs Wine
Cellars, Jamesport Vineyard, Millbrook Vineyards, Palmer Vineyards,
Robert Sinskey Vineyards, Schneider Vineyards, Stephen Ross
Wine Cellars, Vineyard 29, Williams Selyem Winery, Wölffer
Estate, and ZD Wines.
Guests bid on marvelous live and silent auction
items or witnessed the fun as the bidding unfolded. More than
$95,000 was raised for Children of Bellevue services.
