Toast to the Children 2004
On April 20, 2004, Children of Bellevue celebrated
its eighth annual Toast to the Children, honoring Betty Keating,
Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Resource Center, Bellevue Hospital.
The Mistress of Ceremonies was Ann Curry, news anchor for
NBC News' Today, contributing reporter for Dateline
NBC.
Children of Bellevue Board Members Tom Colicchio,
Maria A. Padova, Gregory J. Osborn chaired the event, which
included wine- and food-sampling with live and silent auctions
at the Mandarin Oriental, New York.
The event ceremony was SOLD OUT and netted
more than $190,000 marking the most successful benefit in
Children of Bellevue's 55 year history!!!
The Restaurants that attended, Blue Smoke,
Craft, Eleven Madison Park, Gramercy Tavern, Hearth, JUdson
Grill, Riingo, Public, Tabla and Town provided samples from
their menus. Superb wines were poured by vineyards close to
home, and importers sampled fine wines from around the world.
