Children of Bellevue
CORPORATE / DAY-TIME VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES
Children of Bellevue’s Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry units serve children from infancy to 18 years old who are in the hospital for evaluation and treatment. We welcome up to 10 volunteers at a time to participate in art projects such as T-shirt painting and mask making. These organized groups (Corporation, Fraternity/Sorority, Meetup.com, etc.) can volunteer from 1pm-3pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays, once per month.
VOLUNTEER NIGHTS
Throughout the year, the Children of Bellevue’s Development Office hosts volunteer evenings for individuals to meet with the children at Bellevue Hospital. They are often theme parties with arts and crafts, food, and music. These evenings are best for professionals who cannot commit to a daytime or weekly volunteer schedule but still want to make a difference.
Our monthly volunteers meet once per month, usually on the second Tuesday and/or Thursday of the month.
To sign up for monthly volunteer events and a list of upcoming activities, please use the form on your right.
Once signed up, you will receive monthly blasts and can RSVP for events then.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Children of Bellevue holds many special events each year to fund raise for all of our programs. For each event, we enlist volunteers to assist with publicity, obtaining prizes, and helping with the overall production. Examples of events we have had in the past are ‘Toast to the Children’, a wine tasting and food sampling with silent auction and ‘Cheers for Children’ hosted by our Junior Committee.
ORGANIZE A DRIVE
Our programs are always in great need of books, toys, clothes, strollers and any similar items that are new or gently used. Some volunteers have organized theme drives such as baby showers and holiday gift parties. This is a great way for your office to come together to benefit others in need.
DEVELOPMENT OFFICE
The Development Office can always use extra hands to help with the administrative tasks, especially in the weeks prior to and at event time.
